Match Overview

There was a lower turnout than normal for the latest interclub match with Seaford with the weather yet again causing many withdrawals. Gary Mason from Seaford drew end peg six and made the decision from the off to fish the top three on the pole and fish for the silvers which proved to be the correct decision as the Carp did not feed all day. Gary fed ground bait and maggots throughout the match to land a good net of Rudd, and small skimmers for a respectable 14-11-0. Second on peg fourteen, which was the same peg he had struggled on the previous Sunday fishing for a better stamp of fish was Nigel Jackson, he also decided to fish the four metre whip all day with maggots and ground bait and get amongst the silvers, he had a similar net of silvers as Gary but also picked up a bonus 2-0-0 skimmer to finish on 13-5-0. Kevin Tree on peg sixteen went down a different route and fished his favoured method feeder and duo wafters sitting it out for the quality fish. He picked up several reasonable skimmers and a bonus Tench after putting out several feeders full of ground bait to finish third with just under 11-0-0.
