SAFETY RULES

Animals
Bulls, cows and wild animals must be treated with caution and respect. Dogs are not allowed on any of our venues, even on a lead.

Banks
Be aware that banks can be undercut, slippery or soft.

Casting
Be aware of other people when casting.

Diseases
Weil’s disease and other germs. Do not put your hands in your mouth, or equipment that has been on the bank or in the water. Take precautions when eating or smoking.

Hooks
By design hooks are sharp and can easily penetrate the skin, potentially transmitting germs. Rusty hook should never be used.

Lightning
Carbon fishing rods are excellent lightning conductors. In a storm take cover away from trees, shelter in your car.

Paths
Use pathways either made or unmade wherever possible.

People
Be aware of other people around you,especially strangers. Don’t block pathways with equipment.

Power Lines
Electricity in power line can arc, do not fish below power lines.

Trees
Be aware of falling branches and debris.

Wading
Do not wade unsupervised, Do not wade out of your depth. Use a wading staff. Take each step with care. We do not recommend wading on any of our fisheries and prefer members not to wade.

Water
Drowning is an ever present danger, wear an automatic life jacket.

Weather
Wear appropriate clothing to protect against extreme cold, heat and sunshine.
