Match Overview

There was a good turnout for the latest O.A.P. match at Decoy with thirteen taking part on a cold day. Stewart Morton drew peg 11 and landed ten Carp on the method feeder and wafters with pellet on the feeder for 47-4-0, and a last-ditch Carp just under 10-0-0 gave him victory by a narrow margin. Tim Brightey who was on the next peg, 13, also had 10 Carp and 4 decent skimmers on the method feeder and wafters for 43-4-0 after being knocked back just under 3-0-0 for exceeding the 30-0-0 net limit, which would have made the result even closer. Steve Pead in third place drew peg 18 on the causeway and landed 5 Carp on bomb and bread, which included the largest fish of the day at 12-11-0. He backed this up with two skimmers on the method feeder and wafters with some silvers caught on the whip for 36-2-0.
