The latest interclub match with Isfield at Wildings had sixteen taking part and it was also the Robin Wallis memorial match for Hassocks. On the day Terry Alland fishing for Isfield drew peg four which had not been used for a match for many seasons. He fished the method feeder and eight mil pellets to land four Carp, the largest weighing 12-1-0 for a combined total of 34-4-0, he also had a skimmer and some bits to boost his total to 36-13-0. Second also representing Isfield was Steve Oliver from peg seventeen with the biggest Carp of day, 16-4-0 on the method feeder and pink wafter and two skimmers and some small silvers for exactly 22-0-0. Rowland Smith fishing for Hassocks was third with one Carp weighing 7-15-0 and also several skimmers for a total of 12-7-0 which means he is this years Robin Wallis champion. With Isfield’s top two anglers weighing just under 69-0-0 between them they easily beat us on the day where due to the weather most anglers were struggling to put a consistent run of bites together.
