Match Overview

The second leg of the Rose Bowl proved to be a difficult match with humid conditions and the fish not willing to feed. Tim Brightey landed a Carp of 9-0-0 in the final half hour on the pole and maggots close in, when added to his small net of Rudd and roach gave him 10-0-0 to win the match from peg 20. Runner up Ben Cooke had only one bite which provided him with a Carp of 6-8-0 from peg 10 on the method feeder with just under fifteen minutes left. Rowland Smith on Peg 8 also weighed in one Carp for 5-12-0 on the method feeder but also lost two others, one at the landing net, which would have seen him win comfortably.
