Match Overview

Fourteen turned out for the latest interclub match with Seaford on the Old River on a warm breezy day. Dave Hughes, fishing for Seaford came out on top with a very respectable weight of 45-14-0 which consisted of five Carp and two Tench from peg 3 fishing with wafters on the method feeder. Tony Morris who was representing Hassocks had the largest fish on the day, a Carp of just over 24-0-0 from peg 16 he also managed two Tench and a Bream, and two Eels all caught on the cage feeder with chopped worm with worm on the hook for 40-6-0. Third was match organiser Gary Mason on peg 22 also fishing the cage feeder with worm he landed four good Bream and a few Eels for 33-11-0. Hassocks just came out on top on the day by just under 6-0-0 taking the top six anglers from each club into consideration.
