Match Overview

The river did not fish as well as the previous leg, but Norman Cragg completed the clean sweep winning the third and final leg of the Willey Challenge Cup giving him 30 points over the three legs and claiming the cup this year. He fished the stick float and maggots on a fast-flowing river which was carrying extra water due to the recent rain, weighing in a respectable 7-11-0 of good quality Roach. Second for the third match running was Darren Chilcott with a level 6-0-0 mostly caught on the waggler over loose feed maggots and hemp, which left him as runner up in the series on 27 points. Third was Dave Harper from the favoured top end peg he also fished the waggler and maggots for a net of silver fish weighing 3-11-0.
