Match Overview

A wet and windy day greeted nine anglers on the second leg of the O.A.P. winter series at Decoy. After the previous match expectations were high but the recent change in the weather soon put an end to that. The match was split with a mid-match weigh in because the water level is still low, and Tim Brightey came out on top from peg 5 with a combined total of 57-7-0. He landed nine Carp and three skimmers on the method feeder and wafters and a late Carp down the margin on the pole and paste. Second was Lew Nightingale on peg 9, he managed four Carp and a few silvers for 27-5-0 all on the method feeder and wafters. Third from the opposite bank on peg 28 was Steve Pead who had 3-8-0 of Roach on the pole with maggots before the split and went on to land five Carp in the afternoon on the method feeder and various wafters for a level 25-0-0.
