Match Overview
The first match of the new season saw several new faces taking part, but it was one of the regulars who took the honours. Keith Huggins showed the rest how it should be done, landing six Carp alternating between bomb and method feeder with various baits for 50-8-0. From peg 11, two of his fish weighed 11-9-0 and 11-1-0 which would have been enough to win on their own. Second went to Hugh Neatherway from peg 1 landing five Carp on method feeder and pellet and also wafters for 23-9-0, third went to new member Mark Waite on peg 5 who managed four Carp on dead red maggots for 22-7-0. For most of the other anglers Carp were in short supply but plenty of decent size Roach were caught but unfortunately there was no sign of the new Skimmers that have recently been stocked.
