Match Overview

Despite the warm and sunny weather , sadly only three anglers took part on todays match, and due to the high tide , the match was drawn as a walk off. The numbers of pegs shown is simply the order of the anglers, from the first downstream peg near pipe bridge moving upstream towards the high bank opposite the willows. Todays match was also the standalone Rod & Line Cup so no poles or whips were used.

With good points from both earlier matches Norman Cragg convincingly won the Willey Challenge series with 26 points. David ended up with a combined total of 17 points and Nigel Jackson and Steve Pead both ended up with 16 points.

By winning today’s match Norman Cragg also won the Rod & Line Cup. Most anglers caught a mixture of Chublets and some nice roach but for the second match the upstream pegs certainly produced better weights.

Congratulations to Norman for his double victory.
