Match Overview

A good turnout for the final leg of the Charlie Skinner cup saw 13 anglers in attendance on a warm day. Four Carp turned up in the last half hour which changed the final placings drastically. Coming out on top and also winning the cup over the two matches with nineteen points out of a possible twenty was Mickey Wells on peg 20 who managed to land a Carp of 10-8-0 on the final whistle. When added to two sizeable Eels and a few small silvers it took his winning weight to 15-11-0, he had the Carp on the method with worm tipped with a red maggot. Runner up on the day was John Larouche who managed a Carp of 10-14-0 from peg 18 with ten minutes left, when added to a good Eel and some silver fish he managed 13-3-0 he had his Carp on feeder with wafter. Third on end peg 22 was Colin Ryall with 9-9-0 which consisted of 88 silvers caught on the whip with maggots and a bonus Tench of approximately 2-8-0 also on the whip.

Runner up for the cup was Darren Chilcott who totalled 15 points, he also had a Carp on the final whistle which weighed about 5-0-0.
