Six anglers turned out for the final leg of the Rose Bowl on a lovely summer evening but the fishing did not live up to the conditions, Tim Brightey led the way with 13-1-0 by snatching victory in the dying minutes from Les Hammond with a last ditch cast for Carp on the method feeder and yellow wafter hooking a 10-11-0 specimen landing on the final whistle. Les who was the only one to catch consistently all evening on the pole with maggot and worm managed 10-5-0 which consisted of a nice Bream and a Tench, third on the night was Darren Chillcot with 5-2-0 on pole and maggot with a late Bream and some small Roach.
