Match Overview
The second leg of the Wiley Challenge Cup on Hamsey had a slightly lower turnout due to several anglers unable to attend, so there were only four taking part on the day. Due to a very high tide, it was agreed to have a walk off so everyone could choose a safe peg without being washed out. Steve Pead came out on top with 3-1-0 fishing the top end peg, he had a bonus Roach of 0-12-0 just before the top of the tide to just edge out Dave Harper who fished the bottom end peg, he also had a bonus fish, an Eel of 0-12-0 for a total of 2-12-0. Third went to Norman Cragg with 1-9-0 consisting of several small Chub all caught on the waggler. With one leg of the Cup left Steve and Norman are currently tied on 16 points with very little between them on weight.
