The penultimate leg of the Rose Bowl had five taking part at Balcolme lake on a lovely summers evening. Once again Nigel Jackson enjoyed success on the whip with maggots on end peg five feeding ground bait, maggots and pellets for 10-4-0. Tim Brightey also fished the whip with maggots and loose feeding the same for his best result so far at the venue from peg two, just holding off Colin Ryall in third by three ounces weighing in 8-9-0. With one round to go it is between Tim and Colin to see who the winner of the Rose Bowl will be this year with no one else near enough to challenge them. Both have taken part in all five matches so far and with the drop the worst result after the next leg it is still too close to call.
