Match Overview

The first leg of the O.A.P. series at Wildings was a showery affair with six taking part. Lleading the way was Steve Pead who picked up two late Carp weighing 9-10-0 and 8-14-0 on method feeder and orange wafters which when added to his silver fish gave him 19-11-0 from peg 16. Second also with a late Carp of exactly 13-0-0 on the method feeder was Norman Cragg who backed that up with some skimmers for 16-11-0 from peg 19. Kevin Tree can count himself unlucky to finish third after a blistering first two hours putting just over 16-0-0 of Bream and skimmers in the net before struggling for the rest of the match, he also fished the method feeder and yellow wafters from peg 12. The track at Wildings is now closed for the foreseeable future due to the weather.
