Eight supported the latest Robin Wallis Memorial which raised £40 for the charity and yet again Carp dominated the results with the last hour being crucial. This year the trophy went to Rowland Smith from peg 17 who had 11-14-0 of silver fish on the cage feeder and worm with chopped worm in the feeder before going for Carp in the last hour, he managed to land two and lost one, the largest went 9-13-0 which he hooked two minutes from the final whistle on method feeder and orange wafter giving him 28-7-0. Runner up from the next peg was Colin Ryall who did the same he had a better weight of silver fish, 13-7-0 on the pole and also the whip with maggots, but only managed one Carp which was the biggest on the day, 11-8-0, falling just short by 3-8-0 with just under 25-0-0. Third went to Lew Nightingale from fancied end peg 21 who did not fare so well with silver fish or Carp unfortunately losing four Carp, one right on the final whistle having either his hook trace broken or losing the lot. He did manage to land one which weighed 9-11-0 he fished yellow wafter all day on the method feeder, and he finished with just under 11-0-0.
