Match Overview

The first leg of the Rose Bowl at Badgers Wood saw five anglers enjoy a pleasant evening although the fishing was still not as they had hoped for, possibly due to the heavy rain for most of the day. Rowland Smith on peg 1 left it very late to land a 4-1-0 Tench on the feeder to the island in his 4-4-0 winning net. Tim Brightey managed second from peg 5, mainly due to a Skimmer of 1-12-0 on the pole along with some small silver fish for his 2-9-0, third was Steve Pead who fished the whip and maggots for 2-7-0 from peg 10.
