Match Overview

Seven anglers took part in the Drawn Pairs and were treated to get another wet Sunday, with bites hard to come by. Top on the day was Rowland Smith from peg 12 with four decent Skimmers and a good Perch all on the cage feeder and worm fished hard across. Runner-up by two ounces was Keith Huggins fishing the hybrid feeder with pellet using wafters for five Skimmers weighing 10-6-0. Third with three Skimmers was Lew Nightingale for 7-4-0 fishing the method feeder and ground bait catching on yellow and orange wafters. The joint Pairs trophy for a combined weight of 12-4-0 was Keith and Hugh Neatherway who was on peg 21; runners-up were Rowland and Steve Pead who was bite less for the match. The best fish of the day was landed by Dave Larby on peg 20 with a 2-2-0 Perch caught on the method feeder and orange wafter.
