Match Overview

A heavy frost greeted the seven anglers for today’s match and with the water level still at least two feet lower than normal due to the issue with the outlet it was always going to be a tough competition. Lew Nightingale on peg 18 managed to land a 8-2-0 Carp and a 2-3-0 Skimmer in the last hour on method feeder and wafter to comfortably take the win. Runner up on the next peg 19 landed his only fish of the day early on which was also caught on the method and wafter for his 1-15-0. Third was former junior match angler Eddie Ovenden who managed seven small Rudd and Roach using both the method and pole switching between wafters and maggots for 0-4-0.
