Match Overview

Due to the weather the venue had to be changed to Vale Bridge from a flooded Sloop and six anglers took part, three from each club, it was decided to make the match a walk off and Ryan Smith who represented Haywards Heath drew number six. He made the decision to fish the end peg in the shallows for Carp and it proved to be the right choice as he landed five decent Carp on white wafter and method feeder for 39-4-0 and an 11-ounce skimmer to weigh in 39-15-0 and an easy victory. Runner up was Hugh Neatherway fishing for Hassocks with 12-4-0 which included a 9-7-0 carp which he had on cage feeder and worm whilst targeting Bream. Third was Dave Franks with 10-9-0 fishing pole and alternating between maggots and caster for a roach of just under a pound and a nice mix of silvers. Haywards Heath won the day by over 26-0-0 pounds mainly due to the impressive weight from Ryan, the next interclub match is in a fortnight, hopefully at Cemetery Wood weather permitting.
