Match Overview

Decoy fished much harder than usual with five out of the nine that took part blanking without a bite. Two of the most consistent pegs came out on top with Lew Nightingale drawing peg 30, he fished bomb and bread to the pads to land seven Carp and one on corn for 35-3-0 and a comfortable victory. Steve Pead was second with 16-10-0 on peg 26 landing five carp, one of them weighed just under a pound which shows that the Carp are breeding, backed up by two skimmers, he caught on the method feeder and wafters and bomb and bread. Third was Cliff Prophet from peg 9 with four Carp caught late on in the match, two on double corn and bomb and the other two on the method and wafters.
