Match Overview

In the latest interclub match against Haywards Heath 11 anglers took on Decoy and in contrast to the last match at the venue the top three weights came from the road bank. Coming out on top was Lew Nightingale with eight Carp which included a paste caught Carp of 11-13-0 from the margin with the rest falling to method and wafters for an impressive 61-7-0. Runner up Steve Pead landed twelve Carp from corner peg fifteen, eight falling to method feeder and wafter and the rest coming from the left margin fishing pole and hit and hold tactics with paste for 48-7-0. Third was Trevor Brown who has recently returned to match fishing after a long lay off but unfortunately is still suffering with ill health, with 43-10-0 which consisted of nine Carp all caught on method feeder and bread. Overall, on the day Hassocks came out on top winning by almost 96-0-0.
