Match Overview

There was a good turnout for the final round of the Willey Challenge cup and despite the tide not being ideal as it did not get over the weir the weights were much better than expected. Top on the day and winning the cup with 27 points over the three matches with an impressive weight of 15-4-0 of mainly Roach was Dave Franks using pole and maggots over ground bait feeding maggots and hemp. Second was Norman Cragg on the next peg fishing waggler feeding maggots and hemp for some nice Roach for his 12-9-0, third on the day was Darren Chilcott alternating between whip, pole and waggler for a mixed net of silvers for 7-8-0 on maggots. Runner up for the cup for the second  year running was Roger Bulman who finished on 24 points.
