Match Overview
A good turnout for today’s match saw a much warmer day but despite this the fishing was difficult. The top weight on the day camefrom peg one where Keith Huggins managed six Carp for just under 30-0-0 all on the method feeder and wafters. Runner up was Colin Ryall who managed four Carp and a nice Crucian for 18-5-0 with two falling to pellet waggler one on the method feeder with pellet and one on the pole with dead maggot. Third went to a new match angler to our group’ Mark Curtis who landed three Carp and some silvers for his 15-8-0 with the carp falling to method feeder and wafters. On the positive side there were a good number of the new skimmers being caught and they appear to be getting bigger.
