Match Overview

The 10th leg of the winter series was switched to Weirwood, fishing the venues grass bank between the two slipways. The match initially started rather cold but very scenic, with the rising sun slowly burning off the mist with merely a ripple on the water.

Clear winner Kevin Baptist caught an impressive 14lb 10 oz beating runner up Jerry Morgan with 12lb 2oz, Colin Ryall just pipped our guest angler Sam Beckinsale ,with Colin’s 4lb. Most fish were skimmer bream, with a couple of nice perch and a handful of decent roach, most falling to maggot / pinkie.
