Match Overview
On a very hot sunny day there were a large number of Carp swimming on the surface but despite this Decoy threw up some good weights, but unfortunately Pulborough could only manage one angler to compete in this interclub match. Top on the day was Cliff Prophet who managed nine Carp for 50-10-0 five caught on pellet waggler and four on the pole in the margin, the largest weighed a very creditable 13-13-0 from the margin. Runner up Keith Huggins who was on the opposite bank also had nine Carp with five of them coming to pellet waggler for 48-0-0 the other Carp were caught on method feeder and pellet. Third on the day Norman Cragg from peg 15 landed 43-10-0 all caught on method feeder to the lilies on wafter hook baits alternating between red and yellow. Several decent Crucian Carp were landed during the match but did not feature in the top weights.
