Match Overview
On a very hot evening six anglers contested the final leg of the Rose Bowl. The match was well spread out and the top spot went to Steve Pead on peg 10. He fished a four-metre whip, with maggot and ground bait, for most of the match catching good size Rudd and Roach up in the water. He finished on long pole and worm picking up several eight-ounce Skimmers for his 6-15-0. Runner up, Colin Ryall on peg 21, had 4-3-0 fishing whip and pole with maggot for a mixed net of small silver fish. Third was Les Hammond with 2-13-0 on peg 19, also with a mix of silver fish on pole with maggot. The winner of the Rose Bowl series was Steve Pead on 41 pts over his five matches, runner up was Colin Ryall on 37 pts, who only fished four matches, and third was Tim Brighty who finished on 34 pts.
