Match Overview

There was a good turn out for the latest O.A.P. match with eleven hoping the Carp would still be feeding. The Carp did not disappoint with good weights from both sides of the lake making for a very close match with less than 2-8-0 separating the top three. Nigel Jackson just held off Keith Huggins landing nine Carp and a few silver fish from peg 36 for 43-11-0 on the long pole and paste to the willows on his left. Keith on other end peg 26 also caught nine Carp, most coming from the margin alternating paste and double worm backed up by a skimmer of  1-11-0 to fall 0-6-0 ounces short, he regretted losing a fish a few minutes from the final whistle to a hook pull. Norman Cragg managed third from end peg 1 also landing nine Carp on the method feeder and wafters finishing with 41-8-0.
