Yet again Lew Nightingale managed to hook and land a good double figure Carp weighing 15-11-0 in his total of 24-5-0 to win the second leg of the Charlie Skinner Cup. Runner up on the day Colin Ryall caught a mixed bag of Skimmers and Roach off the same peg that he drew in the first leg for 12-13-0. Third on the day Rowland Smith had three decent Skimmers and Roach plus an Eel for his 11-2- 0. The winner of the cup had to be decided on weight as Colin Ryall and Mick Newman who won the first round tied on 16 points each ,with the trophy going to Colin by just under three pounds.
