Match Overview

Thirteen took part in the first match at Badgers Wood this season, and on a hot sunny day hopes were high of some decent fishing. Unfortunately, this was not the case as there were at least twenty Canadian geese crashing about causing mayhem. Keith Huggins came out on top from peg ten, managing two decent Bream, one on the feeder with corn and the other on the pole and worm and backed those up with four small Barbel all on maggots for just under 8-0-0. Second was Kevin Tree on peg seven he landed a Bream of 4-15-0 on the pole and corn and unfortunately lost another late on which cost him victory. Third from peg three was Steve Pead with one Bream which was foul hooked and three small Roach for 3-6-0 all on the pole with maggot.
