Match Overview

A good turnout for the second leg of the Decoy Cup saw 13 compete on a warm sunny day, where over 45lbs was needed to make the top five. The field bank was the side to be drawn with the middle pegs producing three of the top four places, top on the day adding to his first leg win was Keith Huggins who had a very good second half of the match on the pole with paste near the pads for his 72-3-0 net of Carp. Runner up two pegs further down was Tim Brightey who managed 61-1-0 of Carp on feeder and wafters and fishing pole and paste later in the day, also landing the biggest Carp of the day at 11-15-0. Third went to Nigel Jackson who drew the causeway peg 21 with 48-3-0 all caught on the pole and paste and also unfortunately lost four very large fish due to hook pulls at the landing net which would have made a big difference.
