Match Overview

Four anglers braved the threat of thunder and lightning which held off for the first half of the match. With initial bright conditions and light breezes, the wind increased as the storm clouds built. No carp were seen and the bream appeared to favour the deeper water.

Winner Lew Nightingale caught from the off with 5 skimmers and roach to gain 14 lb 12oz using pellet and wafters.

In second place Steve Pead had a nice mixed bag for 11 lb 10oz and lost a quality fish at the net . David Harper came third with a nice 3lb bream, two skimmers on a method feeder and some tiny roach on the pole line.
