Match Overview

The first round of the senior winter league saw eight anglers taking part in a very close match; it turned out to be a silver fish race as the bream failed to show. Winner Les Hammond managed 4lbs 15oz from peg 18 fishing the pole short with pinkies to land several sizeable roach. Runner up Steve Pead fished long pole and worm for 4lbs 11oz landing some reasonable roach and perch from end peg 10. Third went to Colin Ryall on peg 19 with a level 4lbs of small roach and skimmers on maggot on the pole.
