Match Overview

Nine braved a very wet and windy Decoy for the latest OAP summer league match. Despite the conditions the weights were respectable, with Lew Nightingale just edging the result from peg 7, landing a Carp of just over 7-8-0 in the final ten minutes to give him just over 53-0-0. He started on the method feeder and wafters before switching to the margins on the pole and meat halfway through. Second on the next peg was Steve Pead who also started on the method feeder and wafters for two early Carp before switching to the pellet waggler picking up a further seven Carp, with one late Carp and a skimmer on the method feeder late on for 46-4-0. Kevin Tree who drew peg 1 was agonisingly close to winning the match with half an hour to go when he got broken up and decided not to retackle up coming third by three ounces with  46-1-0. He caught a good Carp close in early on before changing to the method feeder and duo wafters.
