Match Overview

The first of the series of matches at Cemetery Wood saw four turnout on a slightly frosty morning but it stayed dry. The match was a walk off with Hugh Neatherway making the most of picking number one out of the bag and had bites all day catching mainly small Roach and four bonus Perch all on maggots and stick float to win with 2-11-0. Second was Steve Pead who drew walk off two and fished the waggler alternating between maggots, pinkies, casters and punched bread but fell six ounces short. Third went to Roger Bulman who was last on the walk off and had 1-3-0 on the stick float and maggots unable to keep the bites coming and only picking up fish in short bursts.
