Match Overview

On a very warm sunny day sixteen turned out for the latest interclub match with eight from each club doing battle. Hassocks came out on top by less than 2-8-0 mainly thanks to Rowland Smith, fishing for Hassocks, who managed nine Bream fishing worm and maggots throughout the day for an easy victory with 27-12-0 from  peg one which was favoured to win the match from the start; he also lost a Carp which he could not stop. Runner up from the next peg was Chris Reed who managed four Bream and losing two more on pole and worm changing to maggots late in the day for some small Rudd and Roach. Third on the other fancied end peg twenty was Darren Chilcott who landed two Bream on worm and backed it up with around five pounds of sizeable Roach and Rudd fishing shallow to the far bank.
