Match Overview

There were some very good weights on this latest round on the senior summer series with three anglers breaking the ton, two of them setting new personal bests. Top on the day was Stewart Morton on end peg two managing 143-7-0 starting across on the feeder and then changing to the pole before snapping his strongest elastic, which made him revert to the feeder fished down the margin to the pads to catch all day. Second was Nigel Jackson with another master class on the pole and paste at nine metres to up his personal best by a few pounds which he set on Sidewinder a few weeks ago, it now stands at 136-8-0, he was just two fish short of Stewart. Third was Keith Huggins with 103-0-0 on the next peg who was struggling until the last hour and a half when in his words he talked them on the hook from the margins feeding pellet and fishing corn. It was good to welcome a new member to our match group (Martin Harris) who has only joined this week, he said he enjoyed the day and found it a learning curve as he had not been match fishing for many years.
