A big welcome to all our new members and also a ‘thank you’ to those of you who have renewed again this year.

The weather hasn’t been kind for the first couple of weeks of the new season but it looks like the worst is behind us and we will be able to get out and do a bit of fishing. The tench are starting to show at Badgers Wood and George Cragg and the carp at Decoy seem to have been feeding all winter.

Admin Matters

It sounds like most members were able to sign up without too much grief but if you do have difficulties, please contact either the membership secretary or Club Treasurer as they will be able to sort it out for you. The last day for renewals is 30 April (today!) so if you miss the deadline you will have to join as a new member and you can only fish on club waters if you are a member.

If you want to bring a friend along to fish you must purchase a guest ticket and we would politely remind you that if you want to bring along a companion who only wants to read a book or admire the scenery we offer an annual  non-fishing membership.

We are aware that there are issues with regard to emails from Clubmate but this are being looked into. It also sounds like some of the emails that the club sends out are appearing in members “Spam” folders so could you please double check and if you wish to receive emails from the club go into the folder and amend the previous message to “not spam” so that future messages go into your “In Box”.

Finally, in order that our records are accurate and up to date, when you next visit the club website would you please check your personal details  – go to your profile  in the membership section) and if anything needs updating would you please do the necessary. Thanks.

Rivers

The Closed season applies to all of Club rivers and the Environment Agency have been known to carry out spot checks so please don’t fish any of our rivers until they reopen on 16 June. Our still waters are all available.
