Match Overview
The final husband and wife match of the season was crucial as a decider to see who would be crowned the champions of the joint adult shield and the ladies cup. Tina Larouche fished pole and long line with maggot to catch a nice net of small Carp and Roach and Rudd for top weight on the day for 8-0-0, husband John also had a similar net of fish for 5-1-0 fishing waggler and maggot. Their combined weight of 13-1-0 was enough to win the day and gave them the joint adult trophy on total weight over the best five from six results as both teams tied on points. Runners up on the day Sally and Steve both fished the whip with maggots but found it difficult to get past the leaves that kept blowing into their swim but still managed to catch a mixed net of Carp and silvers. Tina also managed to clinch the ladies cup on overall weight as both women tied on points over the best of five matches.
