Decoy Lake

Brief description of fishery:

Decoy lake is an excellent mixed fishery offering a variety of species to target. Tench, Rudd, Roach, Perch, Chub, Crucian Carp, and Carp populate the lake in abundance, and it’s not unusual to catch most species in one trip. This water is suitable for anglers with any level of experience, and we would recommend this venue for your first trip to a Hassocks angling water.

NIGHT FISHING: Night fishing is permitted – please follow the rules at the top of the Our Waters page.

Access

Decoy is suitable for disabled access and has five specially designed pegs for wheelchair users. Blue badge holders can park just yards from the lake allowing easy access; there’s a small charge for the key required to open the barrier – please call the Membership Secretary on 01444 235978 for more information. The path around the lake is level, reasonably flat and covered with large gravel. There is a padlock on the main gate (see the back of your membership card for the PIN number).

A public footpath runs along the causeway, therefore additional padlocked gates protect both sides of the lake (see your membership card for the PIN number). Please ensure these are also closed and re-padlocked after access.

Please note: there is a height barrier of two metres at the front gate.
