Match Overview

A slightly warmer day greeted the eleven who took part in the annual Christmas match which was fished on the canal at More House Farm. Tim Brightey drew end peg eighteen and had a good day landing fourteen Carp for 60-11-0, mainly on the pole with maggot down the edge to win the cup. He held off Norman Cragg who was on the other end peg who fished the method feeder all day to land one Carp less for his 52-1-0 on wafters. Third went to Jerry Morgan with Three decent Carp for 20-3-0 on the pole with a single maggot on a size twenty hook. Unfortunately the usually consistent middle pegs proved to be difficult with several anglers struggling for bites.
