Match Overview
Our first SNRS match at Weir wood was an enjoyable experience despite quite challenging conditions, with a recent significant drop in water level and strong breezes and a period of heavy rain. Clearly any large body of water will have a wave action, and this made bite detection difficult at times. Therefore pegging was along the beach, below the wall with low numbers starting from the first slipway.
Convincing winner was Tony Morris with an outstanding 21lb 10oz. Keith Huggins was second with 11lb 15oz and close behind was Lew Nightingale with 11lb 3oz. Catches of nice skimmers and roach and the odd crayfish (were not counted)!!
