Match overview

The second interclub match against Seaford did not produce the weights anticipated possibly due to the wind direction on the boating lake at Piddinhoe which was not as strong as usual on this very open venue. Despite this everyone did catch, but one end of the lake fished very different to the other as can be seen in the result. Top on the day was Keith Huggins fishing for Hassocks who had two Carp and seven Skimmer Bream all on method feeder for 22-12-0. Runner up fishing for Seaford was Mark Waite using a variety of methods for his 17-4-0 which consisted of one Carp and a mixed net of Skimmers and Roach. Third was Sam Beckinsale fishing for Hassocks who landed three Carp and one small Roach for 15-15-0 his Carp all falling to the method feeder fished at long range.

Over the two matches Hassocks came out on top with a combined weight of 265-9-0 compared to Seaford who finished with 233-1-0 so not much in it and a very enjoyable contest.
