Match Overview

Six turned out on the coldest day of this winter and had to brave the wind and rain and even heavy snow. The fishing was not going to be easy, but the small Roach and skimmers gave nearly everyone something to fish for. Steve Pead came out on top from peg 14 after catching 1-5-0 of small silvers on the waggler and pinkies before turning to the method feeder and pink wafter for the last half hour to catch a 12-5-0 Carp which he landed just as the final whistle blew. Lew Nightingale had just one bite all day from end peg 8 but that resulted in a Carp of 10-1-0 which he landed in the final hour on the method feeder and wafter for second place. Third from peg 18 was Dave Harper who alternated between the cage feeder and method feeder with popped up bread for the highest silver fish net of the day, 3-12-0.
