There were seven fishing the latest interclub match at Balcombe. Darren Chilcott came out on top fishing for Haywards Heath with 14-7-0 of small silver fish and half a dozen reasonable hybrids mostly caught on the waggler and maggots as the preferred whip did not work. Second from the next peg was Nigel Jackson using the waggler as he also could not get the fish going on the whip line. He managed just over 10-0-0 keeping Hassocks in the hunt. Third from end peg was Norman Cragg also fishing for Haywards Heath with 9-9-0, he only set up the waggler and persevered with it all day. Haywards Heath came just under 3-0-0 ahead on the day with the top three weights from each club taken into account.
