Match Overview

For the third year running Leah Jones won the Christmas match with a very impressive display fishing the pole at nine metres in a strong wind at the start of the match. She landed two early Carp before having to fish shorter as the wind strength picked up, she managed another ten Carp before finishing down the margin for a final Carp for a total of 46-1-0. She also had the biggest fish of the day at 8-9-0 all caught on meat. Second went to newcomer Chloe Morris who managed ten Carp, three on the pole with meat and corn before she had to switch to the method feeder due to the weather conditions to weigh in 33-4-0, not too shabby for her first match. Third was her brother Joshua Morris who fished completely unaided aside from the occasional untangling issues for four Carp all on the method feeder and wafters.
