Match Overview

The third round of the Rose Bowl was fished on a very warm sunny Thursday evening at Balcombe Lake. Steve Pead led the way from end peg 8 fishing the whip from start to finish with single or double maggots and kept the bites coming for the entire match for 6-2-0 of small Roach and several Perch. Second went to Nigel Jackson who also fished the whip with maggots but unfortunately his swim died off and he took 3-6-0 of Roach and Perch to the scales from peg 6. Third was Colin Ryall who fished the pole and whip he also suffered the same as the rest with many bumped fish and missed bites and weighed 1-12-0 of silvers from peg 4.
