Match Overview

Only two turned out to contest the second leg of the Victory Cup which turned out to be a very close-run match. Both Steve and Hugh elected to fish the back stream with Steve just edging Hugh by an ounce with his 10 ounces all caught on the waggler alternating between maggots and punced bread picking up nine Roach. Hugh had four Roach of a better stamp for his 9 ounces on the stick float and maggots but regretted trying to swing in a two-ounce Roach which in the gusty wind fell off at his feet in the last half hour. Steve tied with Nigel Jackson on points from the first leg but won the cup on superior weight overall.
