Match Overview
The final leg of the Willey Challenge Cup was a close match with three of the five anglers taking part still in with a chance of winning the cup; but the match was won by Dave Franks who had unfortunately missed the first two rounds due to work commitments. He caught steadily all day fishing the pole with maggots landing some good-sized Roach to finish with 14-4-0. Second on the day and winning the cup with a total of 25 points out of a possible 30 was Roger Bulman who finished with 12-5-0 fishing on the next peg – he also had decent Roach fishing the stick float with maggot. Third was Nigel Jackson on end peg with 9-5-0 who had a slightly smaller stamp of fish also on the pole.
