Match Overview

Nine anglers enjoyed the latest O.A.P match at Decoy and were greeted by a breezy, sunny day. Coming out on top despite having his weight knocked back by just over seven pounds for exceeding the strict net weight was Nigel Jackson, who fished his usual paste and pole attack to pick up some good-sized Carp in the latter stages of the match with the best weighing in at exactly 12-0-0, this gave him just under 66-0-0, after his penalty, from peg 30. Runner up was Keith Huggins from fancied peg 21 who also had a good finish to the match on the pole down the margins landing three good fish for approximately 30-0-0 which boosted his weight to just under 60-0-0. Third was Colin Ryall from another fancied peg 1 who found the Carp on the long pole at sixteen metres with meat, landing nearly 50-0-0 of them and boosting his final total of 52-2-0 with two decent Perch. There were many reasonable Skimmers being caught and the best Carp on the day weighed 12-13-0.
